HISTORICAL EVENTS OF MY COUNTRY

Vietnam has a lot of historical events, such as April 30, may 1, Hung Vuong King's Day and so on. As a Vietnamese people, no one does certainly not know about September 2, Independent Day,which is one of the most important events in Vietnam and begins a period of developing of the country.

On September/2/1945, Ho Chi Minh President gave a speech of Independent Proclamation at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. He's represented for the Republic Community of Vietnam and Vietnamese citizens announce Independent Proclamation about the beginning of new Vietnam, asserted people's freedom rights and determined to protect country of Vietnamese citizens: "All people were born have rights equality. The nature gives them rights that no one can infringe, such as right to live and seek happiness". Ho Chi Minh President agreed all immortal thoughts above and considered that was sacred and appropriate with the nature completely. Furthermore, Ho Chi Minh President also accused France, America and Japan colonialism' s crimes. Vietnamese citizens's lives were extremely miserable and hard under their domination. They killed old people, children, and women barbarously : "They build prisons more than schools. They massacre our patriots cruelly and innocent people". Moreover. they controlled our economic :"They pillage all our cultivated lands, mines and resources that made citizens live in poverty and destitution". Also, they monopolized printed financial system, import and export. As a result, the peasants were already poor became poorer: "They created a lot of tax unreasonably which made our merchants destitute". In short, because of Frances', Americas' and Japans' barbarous crimes, Ho Chi Minh President and Vietnamese citizens determined to fight against and protect the country.

To sum up, Independent Proclamation is a immortal speech of all tines of Vietnamese people. Also, this speech is a law principle to affirm Human and Civil Rights in Vietnam.

  1. Tram - Thank you for explaining Sept 2, Vietnam's Independence Day. Ho Chi Minh lived an amazing life as he traveled to many countries, had many jobs, and met many people.

I like these lines from Vietnam's Proclamation of Independence - "All people were born to have rights equally. Nature gives them rights that no one can infringe, such as the right to live and seek happiness."
